When the sun sets deep down
that it may never rise again,
When the stars shine too bright
that we cannot bear the night,
When the Gods look down upon us
with shame and disgust over our deeds,
When the man is so weak and tired
that he cannot lift his own arms,
to look at his bloodstained palms;
Then shall it be clear to him
that he is not alone on this earth
and he alone has ruined this earth.
that it may never rise again,
When the stars shine too bright
that we cannot bear the night,
When the Gods look down upon us
with shame and disgust over our deeds,
When the man is so weak and tired
that he cannot lift his own arms,
to look at his bloodstained palms;
Then shall it be clear to him
that he is not alone on this earth
and he alone has ruined this earth.
